The seventh State Softball Tournament was held October 21-22, 1999 at Seymour Smith Fields in Omaha. Directors were Bill Lewis, NSAA; Duane Haith, Omaha Public Schools; Sue Mehaffey, Omaha Public Schools; and Paul Pennington, Omaha Central High School.
Six district champions and two wild card teams from each class comprised the field. The Class A wild card teams were Millard North and Omaha Burke. The wild cards teams in Class B were Bennington and Cozad. Paid attendance: 4,014.
