2000 State Softball Tournament Results
The eight State Softball Tournament was held October 12 and 13, 2000 at
Seymour Smith Fields in Omaha. Directors were Bill Lewis, NSAA; Duane Haith,
Omaha Public Schools; Sue Mehaffey, Omaha Public Schools; and Paul Pennington,
Omaha Central High School.
 
Six district champions and two wild card teams from each class comprised
the field. The Class A wild card  teams
were Omaha Burke and Omaha Marian. The wild cards teams in Class B were Blair
and Cozad.  There were 72 programs that
competed during the 2000 softball season. Paid attendance: 3,832.
